It makes sense that plants are an essential part of any healthy way of eating. The earth is covered in nature’s gifts that provide us with food to keep us healthy and to use as medicine for when we are ill. Instead of getting lured in by food labels on processed food products try to focus more on plant-based foods being the core of your diet and you will notice great advances to your health. This doesn’t mean you have to be hardcore vegan to reap the benefits but concentrating on your daily diet being mostly derived from plant-based foods that can be eaten raw, steamed, boiled, stewed, roasted, or baked.

Reducing the consumption of animal foods can help against animal cruelty and also reduce exposure to toxins. On the contrary consuming free-range produce can make a big difference.

Some of the world’s longest-living people live in the Mediterranean and Asia where traditional diets focus on plant-based foods. Therefore an overall plant-based diet is a natural approach to healing and prevention, reducing the risks of chronic diseases including diabetes, cancers, and heart disease and in turn supporting healthful ageing.  This is because these foods are high in antioxidants like vitamin C, selenium, vitamin E etc. that assist in reducing cell, tissue and organ damage in the body.

So let’s increase our energy levels, reduce toxins from our bodies, create lean muscle, melt away excess fat and age gracefully. Let’s eat more plant-based foods!
